Merry Christmas & A Very Happy New Year!

It is that time of the year again, where we get busy shopping, buying gifts for family and friends, putting up our decorations and lights, preparing for our Christmas parties and dinners, working on our menus, baking cookies and cakes and the list goes on and on.

With the busyness that this festive period comes with, we often forget a simple yet most important meaning of Christmas. That Christmas is not just about gifts and decorations but it’s about spending time with your loved ones, family and friends. Feeling the warmth and love that comes from being with them and being thankful for it.

If you are not surrounded by family or friends this year, don’t forget to send them a little gift or a card. Not only will it mean something to them but it will also remind you of the love of home. And do something special for someone else. Whether it is paying for a meal for the person at the back of you in a drive-through, dropping off some food at a shelter, donating some of your gently used clothes or buying a toy for a child at a homeless center, there is always something we can do for others.

Be grateful, no matter how much or how little you have. We all have something to be grateful for. And the holidays are a wonderful time to remember and cherish them.

This Christmas, make time to spend it with those dear to you or make a difference in someone’s life. After all, the journey is as important as the destination.
