Winter Proposal

Snowflakes falling, lights twinkling, your winter proposal should be magical. As a proposal planner, we know just what you should keep in mind as you plan the perfect wedding proposal.

1. The Location

Where you propose is one of the most important things to consider. Will you propose at a white gazebo covered in snow, on a glistening ice skating rink, or inside a warm cabin by the fire? Do you want to be alone, or do you want a crowd to surround you with “Oohs” and “Aahs” as you surprise her with a beautiful ring? These are key things to think about. One day, the location you choose for your proposal will hold a special place in your heart, perhaps even a place the two of you frequent to celebrate anniversaries.

2. What to Do

Sometimes, all you need for a proposal is the ring, a dazzling location, and your fifififibetter half. Think of walking through a winter wonderland. That itself is a perfect winter proposal idea. But, to help with your nerves, or to simply create a memory, your wedding proposal can include an a romantic outing. Some ideas include skiing (asking the question on the lift), ice skating, sledding, going for a sleigh ride, decorating ornaments, picking out a Christmas tree (is that a ring on the branch?). Almost any winter date could become the last thing you do before you’re engaged.

3. What You Tell Your Date

Once you know the location, it’s important that you prepare your better half for the date. To prevent your date from shivering in the cold as you pop the question, let them know to bundle up. It’s even okay to share the location or the activity, but at the least, give them some idea on how to dress, so the two of you can be comfortable and relaxed as you enter the next stage of your relationship.
